Lamborghini is Preparing to Bring a New Bull to the Automotive Arena

Each new Lamborghini product is a feast for car lovers. That is why in recent times all the fans discuss only what kind of model will replace the famous Murcielago.

Only now everything is more or less clear. The company officially registered in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Aventador. This is a name of a famous Spanish bull.

Lamborgini Aventador has a new engine and gearbox. V12 powerplant has a capacity of 6.5 liters and 59 hp. It is labeled L539.

 New gearbox is called ISR (Independent Shifting Rods). Node weighs only 79 kg and, as the manufacturer says, works much faster. Gearbox has three modes: Strada with fully automatic shifting, more extreme Sport and quite sporty Corsa, which includes the function of Launch Control. Transmission is able to manage all-wheel drive type of Haldex, transmitting up to 60% of torque to the front axle.

In general, other than the actual new car, we can expect premier high-tech machines that perfectly fit into the concept of the company's development: faster, easier, smarter.



Mercedes-Benz Declassified "Safe" Roadster SLK

German manufacturer of premium cars Mercedes-Benz declassified new roadster SLK. The company confirmed that the official premiere of the car will be in January 2011. The new SLK will be equipped with innovative safety systems by default, not an option. For example Attention Assist constantly analyzes the behavior of the driver on 70 parameters and if necessary, "advises" the driver to rest.

The roadster will also be equipped with Adaptive Brake, Adaptive Cruise Control Distronic Plus, Pre-Safe Brake, Intelligent Lighting System and System Speed Limit Assist, which use the camera to detect speed limit signs and displays them on monitor in the cabin of the car.

Mercedes-Benz SLK will be available in two variations - SLK250 and SLK350. The first is equipped with four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine of 1.8 liters and 201 hp. The second version was aspirated gasoline V6 engine with direct fuel supply. Engine capacity - 3.5 liters, and power - 268 hp.

Chevrolet Volt :The Most Eco-Friendly Car of the Year

Results of the competition "Green Car of the Year" were announced on Friday, November 18 at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The most eco-friendly car of the year became Chevrolet Volt prudused by General Motors.

In the finals Volt overtook Hyundai Sonata, Linkoln MKZ, Nissan Leaf Electric and gasoline compact Ford Fiesta.

On its electric motor 150 hp on one battery charge Chevrolet Volt can travel 40 to 80 km depending on road surface, ambient temperature and driving style. And if driver use low-power gasoline generator, the length of trips will increase to approximately 482 km.

RAV4 EV: Joint Creation of Toyota and Tesla


The new alliance of Toyota and Tesla introduced its first product in the Los Angeles Auto Show - Electric Car Toyota RAV4 EV. The machine is based on the latest generation of RAV4. Toyota engineers have developed a power plant - the electric motor. Tesla gave this car lithium batteries. In 2011 35 such electric vehicles will be created, and in 2012, the car will go on sale.

Alas, all this is done only for the U.S. market.







Hybrid Infiniti Was Taught to Warn Pedestrians of the Approaching Car


Infiniti equipped sedan M35h with a special system, warning pedestrians of the approach of the machine, if it moves the electric range. The premiere model for the U.S. market was part of a motor show in Los Angeles and scheduled to start its sales until the following year.

Sedan Infiniti M35h can move almost silently with an electric motor at speeds up to 100 kilometers per hour. In this connection it became necessary to warn pedestrians of the approaching vehicle to avoid accidents. The Japanese company equipped the new product with a system called Approaching Vehicle Sound for Pedestrians (VSP). It operates at speeds from zero to 32 miles per hour and then back on when slowing down at 24 miles per hour.

The system consists of a computer-controlled sound synthesizer, transmitting sound to a special speaker built into the front bumper.

Explaining the reason why for the system VSP was chosen such speed limit, the company reported that at 32 kilometers per hour and higher car produces a lot of "road" noise.

Sedan Infiniti M35h equipped with a hybrid powerplant which combines the 306-strong six-cylinder engine with 3.5 liter, 68-hp electric motor, lithium-ion batteries, and seven-speed automatic transmission. From zero to one hundred kilometers per hour such a machine accelerates in 5.9 seconds and fuel consumption in combined cycle is 7.3 liters per hundred kilometers.

Honda CR-Z voted "Car of the Year 2010-2011" in Japan

Hybrid sporty sedan Honda CR-Z named winner of "Car of the Year 2010-2011" in Japan. During the 31-year history of appropriation of the title "Car of the Year" model Honda awarded the title 11 times - a record among all automakers.


When selecting the winner, Jury noted design of Honda CR-Z, its economy, excellent handling, and the fact that hardly went out to the Japanese market, Honda CR-Z has won huge popularity among Japanese consumers. In the first month after the presentation customer orders exceeded sales plan for the model 10 times.
